In the first picture with the audio manager, I have circled my front panel audio on the picture, they show that something is plugged into them and they are active, but I have nothing plugged into them. Below are some screenshots of my Asus Realtek HD Audio Manager, the version and detail of it as well as my settings, if any of it helps. ![]() So this is basically my question: Is this normal for a computer to be set in AC97 to happen, or is there something wrong with my board. Also when I hooked up my headphones to my computer, the speakers would not turn off, and they kept playing the sound. When I installed the Asus Realtek HD Audio Manager, it showed me that both my front panel headphone and microphone port had something plugged in, but I had nothing plugged in. So in the bios, I set the front panel to AC97. For my build, I reused an older case for my PC, which only has AC97 front panel audio. I do not know if this is actually a problem with my motherboard, or if this is how it is suppose to work. I have been looking all over this forum from both the hardware related audio problems and Realtek HD Audio forums, and none of them have what I am looking for. ![]() Hi there, I'm new to this forum and I didn't know where to put my question, so I decided to put it here, sorry for any troubles.
